The Belmont Gallery of Art was awarded a grant from the Belmont Cultural Council to facilitate opening for gallery hours on one Sunday afternoon for each juried show from the fall of 2007 through the summer of 2008. These much needed hours will allow access on a week-end for our audience which is currently unable to attend due to restricted week day hours.
Open Sundays, March 9 and April 13, 1 pm - 4 pm

The Belmont Gallery of Art has an opening for a talented, resourceful individual to join our volunteer management team. We are a committee of 5 that communicates regularly via email and meets on an as needed basis to manage operations of the BGA and report to the Belmont Cultural Council, our overseer. At this time, we are in need of an individual to handle publicity and marketing. Responsibilities include regular submission of press releases and notices to newspapers, calendar sections, and community cable, pitching stories to media, supplying information to our webmaster for updates to the website, reserving time with Citizen's Bank for window displays, as well as researching additional sources for publicity for the BGA.The Gallery hosts a new show approximately every 7 weeks, providing a regular rhythm to this job. This individual will work directly with the gallery administrator and interface with exhibiting artists for PR and marketing details as well as serve as a committee member for the Belmont Gallery of Art.
