The First Annual Watertown and Belmont Open Studios will take place from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday April 24th and Sunday April 25th. This event will showcase local artists within the two towns and is free and open to the public. Open Studios serve as a great way for the community to access culture and the arts, offering the opportunity to view work, speak with the artists and purchase artwork.
In conjunction with the Open Studios weekend, art facilities in both towns are hosting group shows. The Belmont Gallery of Art Group Exhibition will be on view from April 1-30 during regular gallery hours. In Watertown, the Arsenal Center for the Arts Group Exhibition will be ongoing from April 15-May 28. Receptions for each show will kickoff the weekend Open Studios activities. On Thursday, April 22nd, the Arsenal Center hosts an Opening Reception and on Friday, April 23rd, the Belmont Gallery of Art hosts an Artists' Reception. Both celebrations run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. with music provided by local classic rock band, Perfect Crime and are free and open to the public.
