“Pink Afternoon”

a free, fun, intergenerational, hands-on event
all ages welcome (children, teens, younger & older adults)

When: November 6, 2016, 1-4 pm, Drop in any time
What: Collage & Story Making

Gallery Open: 1:00-4:00pm
View the exhibit “Voices Surface” of three artists: Carol Wintle, Helen Canetta, & Anne Johnstone’s mixed media collages. Do early holiday shopping in a relaxed atmosphere. Some art is priced as low as $100.

Collage-making: 1:30-3:30pm
Make a collage. Artist Carol Wintle will be available for guidance. All materials will be provided, (feel free to bring your own). Kits are available containing (4”x6” artist card, non-archival glue stick & scissors). Plenty of paper visuals, markers, crayons etc. will also be available. Use the 3 artist’s collage styles, in the “Voices Surface” show, to inspire your own creation. Take your time. Bring your unique, homemade 4”x6” collage home with you.

Gift Certificates: 2:00, 2:30, 3:00, & 3:30pm
Every 30 minutes someone will win a gift certificate from one of our sponsors: Susanna (clothing store for women); Sterling Cleaners, 2323 Salon/Lulu’s Kids Cuts, art items from Play Time, and private art lessons from Carol Wintle & Helen Canetta.
Conversations with artist Carol Wintle, story creating: 1:30–3:30pm
Artist Carol Wintle will be available to converse with people about collage-making and to co-create stories from visual art.
