Fifth Anniversary Show

Meet the Artists Open House: Friday, September 24, 6:00 – 8:00 PM

The Belmont Gallery of Art has been exhibiting and encouraging visual arts excellence in our community since 2005. In celebration of the gallery’s five year anniversary, this show features works by 54 Belmont artists. The eclectic exhibition includes work produced in a variety of media, including oils, watercolor, acrylic, printmaking, silkscreen, collage, ceramics, wood, photography and sculpture.

Since opening our doors in July 2005, the BGA has presented 37 shows featuring the work of over 100 regional artists including dozens from Belmont. “We are delighted to bring together such a large number of artists from the Belmont community in this show celebrating our fifth anniversary,” said Gallery Administrator Nan Rogers. “The gallery committee is always pleased to welcome returning artists as well as those new to the gallery–and especially on this occasion of our anniversary.”

While the majority of artists participating in this show have exhibited here in the past, 35% are showing at the BGA for the first time. Among those first timers, some are long-time Belmont residents while others recently relocated here and were delighted to learn of our community gallery and the opportunity to exhibit locally.

The gallery offers both a professional, architecturally significant place for artists to display their work and visitors to view such work. Plan to visit soon!
