Key Information

The Belmont Gallery of Art (BGA) is looking for artists to submit work for its annual Small Works Holiday Show and Sale. Works accepted in a variety of media, including painting, photography, textiles, jewelry, card sets, art ornaments, collage and prints. Hanging works not to exceed 20 inches in any direction.

Entry fee: $20 flat fee for up to four (4) pieces.

Suggested Prices for art: $10-$200.
BGA Commission is 20% on SW art sold.

Application Process

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Nov. 27

All applications must be sent by email to BGA director Rebecca Richards –  admin@belmontgallery.org

Subject Line Must Include: Artist Name and Small Works.

Please send an email with images attached (JPG format) and descriptions of type of media, size of pieces and contact information.

DROP OFF ARTWORK: Sat., Dec. 1 (times to be determined)
  • Drop off artwork
  • $20 entry fee
  • (check made payable to “BGA Town of Belmont” or cash only)
  • labels on all artwork
  • inventory list of everything submitted
PICKUP ARTWORK: (to be determined)

Small Works Call for Art 2016

Back by Popular Demand! Small Works – $20-$200

Holiday Show & Sale
Featuring the “SMALL WALL”

The Belmont Gallery of Art and Belmont Art Association invite artists to submit work for its upcoming Small Works / Holiday Show and Sale exhibit.

The $30 fee will be waived if the artist donates one 6×6 original work (or jewelry, fabric art, or small sculpture) to the gallery. This is part of the featured exhibit “the SMALL WALL” – low priced work that will maximize attendance.  Artists are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to participate.

*Please note that the form should be sent via email to the Belmont Art Association email address, not to the BGA email address.

Show hours:

December 3 – 22: Thursdays, Fridays 10am-4pm,
Saturdays, Sundays 1pm-4pm

December 8, 9, and 16: 10am-4pm and again 5-8pm

December 15 (Thurs.): 5-8pm (No daytime hours–Belmont Employees Holiday party)

January/February: Thursdays, Fridays 10am-4pm, Sundays 1pm-4pm

All participating artists must volunteer 2-3 hours at the gallery. Please sign up as soon as possible to get your favorite spot!
